About Plastic Surgery Deconstructed

Plastic Surgery Deconstructed is a webinar series created for students and trainees at any stage who are curious about or already committed to a career in plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Through virtual talks with surgeons, residents, and mentors, we aim to share real-world insight, career guidance, and inspiration. We want to broaden access for students from any background to learn, ask questions, and explore the specialty.

Each session features voices from across the training and professional spectrum—from academic surgeons and private practice innovators to senior residents and fellows—offering an inside look at their career journeys, surgical interests, and personal experiences. Topics span complex reconstructive cases, aesthetic surgery, health disparities, advocacy, research, and work-life balance.

Talks are all virtual, with live Q&A, and open discussion. All sessions are free and open to students anywhere. The series provides valuable mentorship, education, and exposure to the many pathways to and within plastic surgery.

Join us to hear directly from those shaping the future of the field and discover where your own path could lead. Sign up for updates, access our video library, and register for upcoming events.
